Minisinoo is a 40-something professional author, mother, college professor and American Indian who moonlights in fanfic for fun and no profit. She's been scribbling fiction since she was eleven years old and got bored with the usual "write a sentence that uses this vocabulary word" exercise in 6th grade English class. Her sentences turned into paragraphs, and the paragraphs turned into little stories . . . and her poor teacher let her get away with it. She even -- horror of horrors -- encouraged her. Min sold her first short story at 21 and backed into fanfic 15 years later quite by accident. A novelist by trade, Min's fanfic tends to be on the long side: novellas and novels, and because these longer works can be hard to keep track of -- and not everybody wants to subscribe to her personal LJ with "all that other stuff" -- she created this journal for fiction announcements only.

If you already have Min's main journal friended, there's no need to friend this one. It simply duplicates information she's already posting at her own LJ anyway.

What You'll Find Here:

--Announcements of Min's new stories in any of her three fandoms. Because Min is a fan of simplicity, she has only one fiction update journal.

--A brief weekly update (usually on Sunday) about the status of current stories in process (so you never have to wonder what's still being actively updated).

--Brief mention of updates/additions to The Medicine Wheel website.

--Notice of interviews given or awards won concerning fiction.

What You Won't Find Here:

--Discussion (meta) of specific fandoms or fandom generally, OR discussion (meta) about the craft of writing. Because the LJ "memories" function is rather curtailed, Min keeps an annotated page of links to such discussions on her website for those looking for old entries about ___, or those who'd like to browse but don't feel like sorting through her journal. You can find them all HERE. She updates every few months.

--Entries about Min's own life or thoughts on various topics. Min's own journal is (mostly) not Friend's Locked and people are always welcome to join, but she wants to keep this one free of "clutter" for the sake of those who just want the fiction.

--Links to other fiction, recs or similar. Min may sometimes do those, but she'll put them on her website recs pages (Cedric Fic & X-Men) or her own journal.
